Dad was having some extra weakness this weekend and ended up making a trip back to the Barnes ER. Doctors said his CT scan looked basically the same and thought the symptoms were from fatigue and fluctuations in medications. The doctors are trying to wean him from his steroid meds, which can sometimes cause other symptoms. Otherwise he's basically the same for the most part - eating well for the most part, but sways between periods of comfort and periods of restlessness and extreme pain and he's getting tired of taking pills and medicines, which is understandable. Day by day...
I wanted to mention again how thankful we are for all of the nice gestures - from cards to meals, text messages and calls, gift cards and prayers...to dropping deliveries and running errands to maintaining the yard, babysitting..the list goes on and on and we appreciate it so so much. We're so grateful for such an amazing support system and I am confident we couldn't make it through the weeks without you. A big big thanks to those who have visited and to all who have taken time out of your week to help care for Dad. Lastly, a very special thanks to Elaine Robke for manning the care schedule. It's not an easy job and we're so so thankful.
Please keep the prayers for comfort and positive thoughts coming - thanks again
