Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you and your family enjoyed the holiday season as much as we did. Reflecting on 2012, we had plenty of ups and downs, but I'm happy to report we ended December and the year on a positive note! Dad's oncology visit at the end of the year indicated the chemo med is going well now and the oncologist is pleased with Dad's condition. His pain seems to also be more manageable lately. He will have his next set of scans on 1/28/13 and corresponding follow up appointment on 1/30/13.

We also found out another bit of exciting news to wrap up 2012 - Kyle and I will be adding another little boy to the family in May...so Dad will have another grandson to spoil.

Dad definitely has days where he's tired and needs to rest, but we are so thankful that all is going well and he is generally able to enjoy each week. This process has been unpredictable,as expected, but we are making it through thanks to all of you. As we look back on 2012, Dad has enjoyed making so many memories...from winery days with friends, to football Sundays, to the amazing Cancer Bash in May, to card games, family dinners and gatherings, time at the clubhouse with the boys, field trips/daytime outings with friends (even some rowdy ones from what I hear ..h'mm Don :)) and not to mention a night of caroling, movies and pizza, planned by one amazing group of friends - Mom and Dad still talk about how much they enjoyed the evening. As we reflect on 2012, we're most grateful for our amazing family, friends, neighbors and community - there are not words to describe how blessed and how grateful Mom and Dad are to have you all stand by their side and help them through this journey. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you have done and continue to do for our family - May God bless you and yours and may your 2013 be filled with health and happiness.

Thank you
