Dad is HOME! ..just in time for Thanksgiving and he is feeling better and able to swallow. The doctors couldn't explain the issue - they ran many tests but all were clear. It could have still been a reaction to the chemo. He has restarted the drug and we're going to wait and see, but for now, things are much better. We have many things to be thankful for this year - thank you to all of you for your continued help and support through this journey. From neighbors helping around the house to friends and family helping with rides to and from the hospital and with meals..and to all of you for the cards, prayers and thoughts. I've said many times Mom and Dad are so lucky to have such an amazing support system.
Thankful Dad was able to come home from the hospital in time for Thanksgiving and that he's feeling better. This is my favorite weekend of the year, starting with breakfast at our house this morning and Christmas trees at Danikens later in the weekend - thankful for more family time.
We also have something else to be thankful for this year, Dad will be a grandpa again soon - Kyle and I are expecting baby 2 in May :)
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you - hope you have a perfect holiday weekend and also enjoy time together as a family. Thanks again for everything from my family to yours.
